For those of you who prefer the finer things in life, I offer these pictures of some of the damn fine things you can find here at The Elephant's Perch.

First up, the Ibis Mojo SL, resplendent in all it's organically shaped carbon fiber goodness.  This plucky little ride tips the scales somewhere south of 22 lbs with it's "WTF" build kit (yes, wtf means exactly what you think it does) and coddles you with 140mm of rear travel.  Lighter than most crosscountry race bikes, but with the travel to be way more versatile, the Mojo SL is the bike I'd like to have on my desert island if I could have but one.  Of course, I want my desert island to look alot like Moab, but to each his own.  The Mojo and Mojo SL are available with several different levels of components, so a DW-linked, full-carbon tool of joy can be built to most budgets and whims.  Check out all the details at Ibis' website.

Behold, the Tranny!  Thanks to the super-geniuses hard at work at Ibis HQ, this carbon hardtail frame can be configured for either single-speed or fully geared duty.  Hell, you can even take the frame apart and fit it into a case if you care to prendre vos vacances avec votre velo.  Again, versatility is the key word here.  Follow this link to the Tranny page on Ibis' website for color and build options.  The Tranny clearly has that lean, racer's build, but this is really is a comfortable, capable ride that's worthy of an all day epic or laying waste to your "frenemies" on the next group outing.

If I could interest you in buying my old motorcycle, I'd be able to buy this 'cross bike.  I suck at cyclocross, but that doesn't stop me from wanting a truly excellent mount for my dismounting.  The Hakkalugi could really make the difference between my lack of ability and my aspirations for mediocrity.  Under an actual capable rider, this bike will likely be seen as the stellar performer that it really is.  It's light, a solid handler, and it's the right color.
